The ODM leader Raila Odinga,was yesterday ,29th August 2021 at Bible Fellowship Church in Kigumo Constituency Muranga County . The former Prime Minister was accompanied by a number of the political elite including Mp Junet Mohamed ,Nairobi Women rep Esther Passaris . Also in attendance was Royal Media’s Chairman SK Macharia. All the present public figures ,rooted for Raila Odinga ,SK Macharia added that there is need to put in more work in campaigning for the ODM leader in the region.
SK Macharia said if the elections were held today, those supporting the Deputy President in the region would come out strongly to vote him in, “kamanda and kioni don’t cheat him that the ground is okey. If we were to go and cast votes today ,those people who have shown you all madharaus including the president ndio watachukua kura .” The Chairman SK Macharia ,commended the handshake between the two : the President and ODM leader. Saying it insulated the country against possible social,economical wrangles, that followed the 2017 General elections. The handshake gave birth to peace and harmony.
The ODM leader, Raila Odinga stated that the BBI reggae was just at halftime,it is far from stopping. He added ,the BBI held a lot of benefits for the central region ,this was in the bid to lure the Central Kenya potential voters,“nimekuja mlimani kuwaambia ya kwamba nimekuja kuleta mazuri,si kudhuru nyinyi . Na vilevile kusema ni vizuri mandugu wakifanya kazi pamoja . ” The ODM leader recalled the start of the journey with the president ,that resulted in the handshake,and in return the BBI ,” niliambia Uhuru wewe uko ndani ya serikali ,Mimi Niko nje ,lakini nitakua nikikuonyesha vile tutaendesha …nitakua mshauri ,lakini tusimame na wewe mbele ya Wakenya tusalimiane. Mwingine akaona akafikiri Uhuru anataka kuunga mkono Raila.. Sasa wewe mmekua pamoja na mmezaa mtoto ,wewe ni mama ,unatoroka ,unasema mtoto si wako. ”
This visit follows claims that leaders from the Mt Kenya region who are said to be allied to the Head of State ,said trying to popularise and lure Mt Kenya voters to vote in Raila Odinga is like selling pork in a mosque. The ODM leader has however been visiting the central region,for instance in late July he was the Chief Guest at skiza thanksgiving ceremony in Gatanga Muranga County. In another occasion in Mombasa he met the leaders from the region the mentioned leader is Amos Kimunya,the national assembly majority leader.
These visits are in his attempt to lure the region members to his side ,since they have voted against him since time immemorial,they are now appearing to be moving towards the deputy president in waves . The ODM leader Raila Odinga has not yet declared formally his presidential candidature ,but there is strong reason to believe,again this will be answered by time.
